A legend is born
Abba Safari Camper is a user-friendly camping concept fitted onto your everyday workhorse within
minutes. It is the ultimate luxury safari camper and the only way to go on a bush holiday. A safari
camper is not a new or unique concept but we redefined and perfected it to deliver on all round
luxury, convenience and ease of use. With special emphasis placed on easy installation and
removal.
We have spent many years designing and modifying the camper to suit any over land and touring
needs. We have worked with a no compromise attitude and the end result reflects a hard working
product that can go anywhere from the Kruger Park to deepest darkest Africa.
As part of the development process and driven by public demand Abba Campers have registered
with NRCS and Transport Dept as a Manufacturer and Builder. We can manufacture trailers and
build Campervans, Motorhomes or any special project our customers need. Any such projects will
be registered and homo-ligated as new products and could be financed by the financial institutions.
The Abba Campers have evolved after six years of manufacture and nine years of development
into a new high-tech beast featuring the latest in power and off grid management solutions,
electric flush toilets and every convenience the most demanding campers might dream off.
We will build this experience and technology into every new venture and product to the best of
our ability!
The Dream
The development of the Abba Camper has been a very personal journey. I have been camping all my life and was lucky enough to get a wife who enjoyed it as much. We have covered all possible forms of camping from old army tents to caravans. As our family grew our camping needs changed and eventually I built my own trailer. The kids have since grown up and have their own families now so once again my wife and I found ourselves in new terrain. With just the two of us new travelling opportunities became possible and we found we needed a lot less. We went to Tanzania with an off road caravan almost got divorced, made it back and decided our days of caravan’s were over forever.
We tried a trailer again. But a trailer still kept us from going where we wanted to go most. There were roads unexplored, bucket list items calling, places to see that we were dreaming about, and a deep understanding never ever to underestimate the African bush.
Besides our empty nest or shall I say empty tent syndrome, my health had taken a beating and I needed something less strenuous to set up. As most of you will agree the test of good marriage is one which can survive setting up a campsite. No more roof top tents, no more towing, no more raw aluminium, no more hammering. We were ready for our next adventure and so Abba Campers was born.

Abba Rooftop Tent is a fiberglass bottom and dual top roof unit based on our ever so popular Abba Campers Queen-size bed. It is a lovely 2100 mm long x 1600 mm wide x 300 mm deep. Space for the bedding on the permanent bed, lights inside, USB & Lighter plug capable, Optional Solar on roof and build in batteries possible.
